Creating a New Page for Website on Appmint

With Appmint, you can effortlessly create stunning webpages without any coding knowledge.

Here is a walk-through process of creating a new page on Appmint step by step.

A new page on any website is a fresh canvas website page for site owners to add new content and design to their current website. eg product page, blog posts, portfolio page, about us page, contact us page, etc.

Get Started

  1. Ensure you're signed in to the Appmint editor panel if you're not sign in here
  2. On the editor sidebar menu, navigate to the "Site Pages" section.
  3. Click the "+" icon to add a new page.

New Page Settings

A modal window will appear with three tabs to create a new page for your website: Info, SEO, and Breakpoint.

Let's explore each tab:

Info Settings:

Under the Ïnfo" tab, you can provide fundamental information and configurations for the new webpage.

These settings allow users to define the basic characteristics and properties of the page they are creating.

Here's a breakdown of what each option within the Info Settings entails:

  • Site: Select the website you want to associate the new page with if you have more than one website in your editor.
  • Parent Page (Optional): Choose an existing page for the new page to inherit properties from (e.g., header, footer, layout elements).
  • Page Name: Enter a name for internal reference within Appmint (won't be visible to visitors).
  • Slug: This is the URL component for your page (e.g., "about-us"). It should be descriptive and relevant to the page content.
  • Page Title: This is the title displayed on the browser tab and search engine results. Make it clear and concise, using keywords relevant to your content.
  • Description (Optional): Add a brief description of the page content for internal reference and for SEO.
  • Icon URL (Optional): Provide a link to an image that can represent the page or add meaning to the page in the navigation menu (if configured).
  • Child Editing: Choose whether child pages associated with this page should have editing permissions to edit properties they inherited.
  • Data Type (Optional): Assign a specific data type (e.g., "blog post," "product") to organize your content.
  • Hidden: Check this box if you want search engines not to index the page.
  • Hide Scroll to Top: Enable/disable the "scroll to top" button on this page by checking the box.
  • Animate Scroll: Activate an animation effect when scrolling on the page.
  • Animate Content: Activate an animation effect for content elements appearing on the page.

After configuring the new page info settings to fit your needs, click the blue "Save" button to save the page settings.

SEO Settings:

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which refers to the process of optimizing your website's content and structure to improve its visibility and ranking in search engine results.

In the context of Appmint, the "SEO Settings" section provides users with the ability to enhance the discoverability and performance of the pages in search engines.

Here's a breakdown of what each option within the SEO Settings entails:

  • Keywords: Enter keywords related to the content on this page. These help search engines understand your page's topic.
  • Robots.txt (Optional): This file controls how search engine robots crawl your website. While not crucial for every page, you can paste a custom robots.txt file here.
  • Open Graph (Optional):: Open Graph helps social media platforms display rich previews when your page is shared. Set the following elements:
    • Title: This is the page preview title that will show up when the page is shared on social media.
    • Description: A brief summary of your page content that will also show on social media.
    • Image: A visually appealing image representing your page when shared on social media.
    • Type: Specify the type of content (e.g., "video, article, news, etc").
    • URL: The complete URL of your page when shared.

Don't forget to click on the "Save" button to apply your changes.

Breakpoint Settings:

In web design, breakpoints define how your page layout adjusts for different screen sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile).

Also on Appmint, Breakpoint settings for the page allow users to define how that specific page layout switches from a desktop view to a tablet view.

Note: You don't have to set the page breakpoints, Appmint has already set standard breakpoints for all websites automatically.

This feature is advanced and may not be necessary for basic page creation. If needed, consult Appmint's support.

  • Min Width & Height: These settings determine the minimum width and height at which the webpage layout will be adjusted. For example,

  • Max Width & Height: Conversely, these settings determine the maximum width and height at which the webpage layout will be adjusted.

Once satisfied with your settings, close the new page settings modal and refresh your website, you will see your new page now added under the "Site Pages." menu.
