Device Hub

Ordinary hardware. Cloud brains.

Device Hub puts your peripherals on the cloud instead of behind a proprietary till. Printers, cash drawers, card readers, scales, customer displays, kitchen screens, scanners and NFC cards — all driven by one small agent on a box you already own. Buy ordinary USB hardware instead of a locked terminal, and any authorised screen anywhere can print a ticket, kick a drawer, take a weight or issue a staff card. Cheaper to buy, and you are not asking a vendor for permission to add the next device.

One command on the box
curl -sSL https://web.appmint.space/hub-agent/install | sudo bash

Installs the agent, registers it as a service that starts on boot, and runs the setup wizard.

The wiring

One box. One connection.
Every device on the floor.

The agent holds a single outbound socket. Commands come down it to whatever is plugged in; scans, taps and faults go straight back up and fan out to every screen that is watching.

The drawer does not plug into the box — it hangs off the printer’s DK port on an RJ11/12 cable, and the printer pulses 12–24V down the line when the agent sends the kick.

Before you ask

The questions operators ask.

  • No. The hub opens a connection outbound to the platform and keeps it open. Nothing needs to reach into your venue, so there are no inbound firewall rules, no port forwarding and no static IP to arrange with whoever runs your network.
